LAB 365 1/2 is a non-profit organization that collaborates closely with prioritized and marginalized communities delivering customized experiential art programming and mentorships. For the last 5 years we have been hosting a robust 16 week adult, youth and children’s programming through generous funding from the OAC, TAC and other Non-Profit organizations. The program focus on heritage textile craft and develops a holistic practice to the creative process, taking the participant through the journey of ideation and production towards a body of wearable art. We work with local artists, art & educational institutes and sponsors to curate experiences that serve 20-25 participants through each cohort semester. 

 

Our mission is to create a safe and nurturing space for Artists, Designers and Makers to flourish. The incubator introducing participants to new skills and ways of thinking to ignite innovative thinking and experimental design. It aims to empower the participants, providing them access to the best materials, educators, facilities, environment and experiences needed to manifest their ideas and enhance their creativity. We aim to nurture agile multidisciplinary practitioner with a sustainable art practice that feeds back into the vibrancy and resilience of their communities.
